The FAA requires a 60-question education theory test to qualify you as a flight instructor. This is a minimum requirement. While the CFI test was one of the hardest things I have ever done this simple test does not make someone an educator. All CFI’s are very competent and safe pilots but not all of them are very competent educators. Most of the CFI’s that I have flown with have one way to teach you the flying skills you need.

My philosophy at Learn 2 Fly is to mold the instruction to the students not the students to the instruction. What does this mean? We all learn at different rates and process and receive information differently. As a professional educator I have been trained to understand how my students learn and tailor the lessons to the media that facilitates the students understanding of the material. Why is this important to you the student? We want to create an atmosphere that is comfortable for you to learn in, not create unnecessary stress that slows the learning process. We understand that learning is a process and cookie cutter lessons just don’t work for everyone. If you are comfortable then learning and successes come quicker and in this business time is money. It is only my time, but it is your hard earned money and I want to keep your cost down.
